HUD announces deadline
for corrected August 1 voucher reports

During its Housing Choice Voucher Renewal Funding web cast on June 14, HUD staff announced that if HAs submitted incorrect voucher reports (including the 52861B) concerning cost and utilization for May, June and July 2003, they could submit a corrected report for that period. The corrected submission must include the report, supporting documentation including HAP registers for the months involved, and an explanation of the reasons for the incorrect report and the steps the HA has taken to avoid reporting problems with future submissions.

Learning of an opportunity for HAs to correct inaccurate August 1 reports was good news. The bad news was that any corrections must be submitted by June 30, 2004. Agencies that believe the cost and utilization figures they reported as of August 1, 2003 are incorrect and should be revised should submit a corrected report with supporting documentation, HAP registers and explanations to HUD headquarters (with a courtesy copy to the FMC) as quickly as possible.
