In a continuing effort to assist its membership, PHADA has entered into an official alliance with HD Supply Facilities Maintenance, the leading supplier of maintenance repair and replacement products to owners and managers of multi-housing, lodging and commercial properties.

The two-year alliance between HD Supply Facilities Maintenance and PHADA will benefit PHADA members in numerous ways. Not only will members be able to receive greatly discounted prices on the various products offered by HD Supply Facilities Maintenance, the alliance stipulates that HD Supply Facilities Maintenance will lend significant financial support to PHADA's Bollinger Scholarhip and Annual Convention.

The following summarizes the key commitments made between PHADA and HD Supply Facilities Maintenance:

Lowest Catalog Price

• All PHADA member properties will be guaranteed HD Supply Facilities Maintenance's lowest published, maximum-discount price on any item ordered from The HD Supply Facilities Maintenance's national catalog. HD Supply Facilities Maintenance's lowest published catalog price represents an average 14% discount from HD Supply Facilities Maintenance's first-level pricing.
• HD Supply Facilities Maintenance will work with each PHADA member regarding remodel projects, with discounts below HD Supply Facilities Maintenance's best book price.
• HD Supply Facilities Maintenance has waived its usual requirements for the PHADA members to submit individual account applications, and has opened a net 30-day account for those members that do not already have an account with HD Supply Facilities Maintenance.

PHADA Trustee DeWitt Boosel, chairman of the Alliance Committee, said he is pleased that the lengthy discussions between PHADA and HD Supply Facilities Maintenance have come full circle, resulting in the alliance between the two entities.

"We negotiated back and forth," said Boosel, the Executive Director of the Mercer County Housing Authority in Sharon, PA. "We just wanted to make sure PHADA members benefitted and that it works for both sides.

"We're trying to align PHADA with those groups that can make an executive director's job easier. This alliance is so great because it will help EDs save time, save money and save energy. Those are really the underlying reasons we've entered into this alliance."

Boosel said HD Supply Facilities Maintenance will benefit from the alliance in that it will not have to contact individual housing authorities. Instead, PHADA will make its membership list available to the company. But participation is entirely voluntary, Boosel stressed.

The alliance also will serve as excellent advertising for HD Supply Facilities Maintenance, he added. Another benefit to HD Supply Facilities Maintenance is that this will give them a better understanding of the housing industry and thus allow them to tailor some of their offerings to meet the ever-increasing demands of housing authorities.
