Director of Asset Development:
The Bellingham/Whatcom County Housing Authorities (BWCHA) is seeking an experienced and motivated self-starter to be our next Director of Asset Development. BWCHA is a recognized industry leader in high-quality innovative housing development. We receive strong support from our community when developing housing, and experience virtually no NIMBY.
Our offices are located in downtown Bellingham, a progressive university town on the north coast of the Puget Sound, approximately 90 minutes north of Seattle and 40 minutes south of Vancouver, BC. Traffic is light in most areas of town and the air quality is exceptionally good. Bellingham enjoys a mild climate; snow is a rarity and summer temperatures seldom climb above the 70’s. Our location on the Bay and close proximity to several lakes and the Cascade Mountains provide numerous recreational activities.
The Director of Asset Development position is responsible for housing development and capital asset management projects. The position also manages all aspects of financial restructuring, and both minor and major rehabilitation programs.
The salary range is $83,184-$106,164. Benefits include a company vehicle, choice of five medical plans, VEBA and Deferred Comp Plans (with employer contributions), Washington State Retirement System plan and a generous vacation policy with an initial leave bank.
