On the heels of our series of in-person Repositioning training sessions for small PHAs, PIH is happy to announce that we will be hosting a four-part Repositioning Webinar training series open to PHAs of any size on November 12, 14, 19, and 21.
The training series will cover:
- Benefits of repositioning
- Details on the various repositioning tools available (i.e., RAD, Section 18 and Streamlined Voluntary Conversion)
- Guidance on establishing a repositioning strategy
- Information on closing out a Public Housing program
The training is intended for PHA staff, PHA Board Members, and others working to help PHAs on their repositioning goals. In order to encourage group participation and interaction, the training will be limited to the first 100 registrants. However, we will make more of these webinars available based on demand.
To learn more, and to register for this event, please visit the event page on HUD Exchange.
If you haven't done so already, I highly encourage you to visit the new Repositioning website to access the range of resources we’ve compiled for you and the public including relevant Notices, FAQs, and training videos. We will continue to update this site with additional resources as they become available.
If you'd like to talk through your repositioning options, please reach out to your local field office. If you have specific questions or concerns about repositioning, you can also email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your continued partnership and assistance in this important effort to set public housing units on a financially sustainable path and enable communities to develop flexible and locally appropriate strategies to preserve affordable housing.
