Express Support for Senate ACC, FSS Provisions
John Hodge, PHADA President
Fiscal Year 2020 began on October 1 and as in past years Congress did not finish the budget on time. The Continuing Resolution (CR) that is now keeping the government running will expire on November 21. Key congressional leaders have already signaled yet another CR will likely be needed because the November 21 deadline cannot be met. In fact, Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Richard Shelby (R-AL) recently stated a CR could remain in effect until next February or even March.
Regardless of what the final timing may be, PHADA is continuing to make our positions known to appropriators. We recently wrote to leaders on both sides of the U.S. Capitol, outlining our priorities for the final FY 20 appropriations package. You can read more about that in our appropriations Position Paper, and in the correspondence we sent to Congress.
