PHADA Concerned About Health and Safety, Other Needs

President Trump’s proposed budget was released on February 10. With its publication, the debate in Congress on FY 21 spending begins in earnest. There will be many budget hearings and other forums in the coming weeks, along with a great deal of media and public scrutiny. PHADA has included extensive coverage and analysis in this edition.
Overall, the Administration’s proposed budget would cut HUD funding by roughly 15 percent. It includes some troubling elements that Congress has wisely rejected in the past couple of years including the proposed elimination of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME programs.
