Crystal Wojciechowski, PHADA Policy Analyst
The Public and Affordable Housing Research Corporation (PAHRC) is a nonprofit research center dedicated to promoting the national conversation about the importance of affordable housing. Each year, they produce a number of research reports that examine key themes in affordable housing and provide updated statistics on the supply of housing assistance, those receiving assistance, and the impact on residents and communities. Their research can be found here.
PAHRC’s most comprehensive report, the Housing Impact Report, is released annually. The 2019 Housing Impact Report is entitled, “Trends in Housing Assistance and Who it Serves.” A full copy of this report can be found here. In addition to their annual report, PAHRC typically releases research spotlights. Recent research spotlights have included trends among seniors living in publicly supported rental homes, and how housing programs can support the educational needs of children living in publicly supported homes.
