Update on the GAO’s Survey Questionnaire on HUD Assistance to Households with Disabilities

The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) is conducting a study on HUD rental assistance for households with disabilities. As part of this study, GAO is surveying public housing authorities serving households in metropolitan areas regarding their experiences in addressing the needs of these households with HUD assistance. Most agencies should have received this request, but if you haven’t it could be due to participating in the piloting and testing phase, or other pre-determined reasons.

Many of you (selection was based on a random sampling method) recently received instructions from the GAO on completing the Internet-based questionnaire. If you want your views on serving this population known, please consider responding to the survey so that the GAO can share this information with Congress. PHADA met with the GAO last year to provide its own input and raise issues related to member concerns that have been shared with PHADA.

If you have any questions, the questionnaire contains the name of GAO staff that you may contact for any questions or concerns about the questionnaire.
