Broadband funding from the federal government is beginning to roll out in every state.
HUD's Office of Public and Indian Housing is hosting a 3-day virtual summit about digital inclusion for ConnectHomeUSA (CHUSA) communities, housing authorities (HAs), tribes, multifamily housing owners and operators, public-private stakeholders, and others interested in digital inclusion. The online summit will take place October 25–27, 2022.
Summit participants will hear from a wide range of organizations including federal agencies administering new broadband funding programs, private-sector stakeholders with updates about their programs, and CHUSA communities with innovative programs.
The summit will feature training webinars and breakout sessions which will allow participants to engage with speakers and gain an understanding of tools for continued program growth. Summit sessions will cover the latest information about programs as well as help with advocacy, access, and planning for federal grants. Additional sessions will be on telehealth, digital ambassador programs, and best practices from other CHUSA communities that can help communities build lasting digital inclusion programs.
