Sets Effective Date
Today HUD published RAD Notice Rev4B in the Federal Register, establishing the effective dates for the previously released notice. See PHADA’s July 27 Breaking News, and the more detailed review in the August 23 Advocate. The notice is published jointly by the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner and Office of the Assistant Secretary for Public and Indian Housing, HUD, and is also released as Notices H-2023-08 and PIH-2023-19(HA).
The effective date of the notice is August 21, 2023, except for several new statutory and regulatory waivers, which are effective August 31, 2023. These changes are designed to make RAD conversions easier especially for Faircloth-to-RAD, RAD/Section 18 Blends, and Section 202 PRAC properties. This includes the process for distribution of $12 million in FY 22 and FY 23 funds for supplementing RAD PRAC rents. See the August 23 Advocate for more information.
