HUD is extending the deadline for applications for wave 3 of the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP) Elements cohort from January 4, 2024, to March 28, 2024.
The GRRP funding from the Inflation Reduction Act provided HUD with $837.5 million in grant funding and $4 billion in loan authority for this new program for HUD's Multifamily Assisted Housing. See the May 31, 2023, Advocate for more on this program.
According to HUD, this extension will enable HUD to effectively process the high volume of applications received in recent rounds, helping to accelerate the time between application submission and award for selected applicants. This extension is also detailed on the GRRP website and will also be reflected in a future update to the program’s Notice of Funding Opportunity.
