The HUD recently published Notice H-2024-04, which postpones the deadline for multifamily housing owners’ Tenant Selection Plans (TSPs) and Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) policies to comply with Sections 102 and 104 of the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA). This deadline was previously March 31, 2024, but the notice extends it to May 31, 2024.
As a reminder, HAs and multifamily (MFH) owners cannot implement HOTMA Sections 102 and 104 – including the asset limit for new and currently-assisted tenants – until their software systems have transitions to either the Housing Information Portal (HIP) or TRACS 203A. MFH owners should consult page 10 of Notice H-2023-10 for steps they should undertake once their software is TRACS 203A-compliant.
PHADA will continue to keep members updated on the latest HOTMA news through eBlasts, social media, and the Advocate.
