Certification Deadline Now April 30, 2024
HUD recently posted a new Capital Fund Certification Schedule moving up the dates for “the annual PIC Certification process.” For FY 25 formula purposes, the certification period will be March 1 to April 30, 2024, using a February 29 reporting date. Yes, “[HUD is] asking PHAs to certify data for FFY 2025 Capital Fund grants awards prior to the award of the FFY 2024 Capital Fund grant awards.” The reporting date for this round is February 29, 2024.

HUD notes that it is taking this action in part because of the department’s planned transition from IMS-PIC to HIP. For FFY 2023 Capital Fund grant awards, the annual PIC Certification process ran from July 5 through August 25, 2022, based on a June 30, 2022, reporting date.
