On October 3, HUD’s Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R) published a 30-day notice of a proposed information collection, Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan forms required from all FHA insured developments. The department and OMB failed to publish the subject forms on OMB’s web site until Friday, October 25, 2024, reducing the public review period from 30 days to 10 days.
PHADA reviewed the proposed changes to Form HUD 935-2A, B, and C and related material. The department is proposing significantly simplifying the form for multi-family developments, made moderate changes to some language, and asserted that the proposal will reduce the number of parties required to submit the form by 2,347.
PHADA will submit brief comments that raise concerns with the unavailability of documents until 10 days prior to the comment deadline, supporting the simplification of the form for multi-family housing, and supporting the reduction in the number of entities required to submit the form.
