Senate Democratic Leaders Express Alarm over HUD Staffing Cuts

On February 16, five Democratic Senate leaders wrote to HUD Secretary Scott Turner, noting that they were “deeply alarmed and troubled” by the administration’s termination of the Department’s probationary employees. The letter also notes the Senators’ concerns regarding media reports that the administration plans to reduce HUD’s overall staffing level by 50 percent.
