AHCIA Introduced in Senate with 30 Bipartisan Co-Sponsors

On April 29, the PHADA-endorsed Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act (AHCIA)(S.1515) was introduced in the Senate by lead sponsors Sens. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Maria Cantwell (D-WA), Ron Wyden (D-OR), and Todd Young (R-IN). At introduction, the bill had 30 co-sponsors—evenly divided between 15 Republicans and 15 Democrats—making it one of the most broadly supported bills to be introduced in the 119th Congress.

Earlier in April, the AHCIA was introduced in the House with over 100 original cosponsors.

PHADA’s Legislative Committee will discuss the AHCIA and other matters during its meeting on Tuesday, May 13, during the Association’s Annual Convention & Exhibition in Seattle, WA. PHADA encourages all interested members to attend the Legislative Committee meeting and consider joining the committee.
