HUD has extended the application deadline for the Jobs Plus Initiative funding. Applications are now due Monday, December 29, 2025 (originally October 27).
On August 13, HUD announced $21 million in funding under the FY 25 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Jobs Plus Initiative, a competitive grant program that helps public housing residents increase earnings through employment. The program provides on-site job training, financial literacy, and other support to help residents build skills, find work, and achieve greater economic stability.
Eligibility and Awards
Eligible applicants include public housing authorities (PHAs) that operate one or more public housing developments. HUD expects to make approximately 15 awards, with individual grants ranging from $1.6 million to $3.7 million. A matching contribution is required as part of the application.
