HUD Establishes August 3 Deadline for EIV-SAVE Review and Attestation

HUD has established an August 3, 2026, deadline for public housing agencies (HAs) to review individuals identified on the EIV-SAVE Tenant Matching Report and submit a required attestation confirming that appropriate follow-up actions have been completed.

The EIV-SAVE Tenant Matching Report compares HUD tenant data with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) records and highlights cases that may require additional review. Agencies should examine flagged records, update HUD-50058 submissions as needed, and resolve any discrepancies in accordance with Section 214 and HUD’s implementing regulations at 24 CFR part 5, subpart E.

Since the report is not automatically updated after corrective actions are taken, PHADA strongly encourages HAs to maintain documentation of all reviews and a record of corrections. The documentation may be important to demonstrate compliance and support the attestation process.

PHADA continues to review HUD’s guidance and will keep members informed of any additional information or implementation concerns.
