PUBLIC NOTICE TO BIDDERS
INVITATION FOR BIDSSealed Bids will be received by the Freeport Housing Authority, at 240 South Main Street, Freeport, New York 11520 at 12:00 PM on Thursday May 20, 2021, for all labor, materials and work to be performed under the following contract. Sealed Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at 100 North Main Street, Freeport, New York 11520 at 12:30 PM on Thursday May 20, 2021.
BOILER REPLACEMENT AT 240, 250 AND 260 SOUTH MAIN STREET, FREEPORT
Each Bid must be accompanied by a DEPOSIT in the form of certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Five percent (5%) of the Bid. Such Bid Bond shall be satisfactory to the Housing Authority executed and sworn to by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New York, and shall be required to qualify in the sum equal to the value of the work as stated in the proposal of the Bidder for whom it is to act as Surety, shall insure the Freeport Housing Authority, in an amount not les then five (5%) of the amount of the base bid proposal.
Copies of Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents may be obtained at the Freeport Housing Authority office at 240 South Main Street on or after April 22, 2021. Electronic copies of the documents will be provided to the Bidder. Bidders must register with the Housing Authority at the Housing Authority office to be eligible to bid.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday May 13, 2021 at the Authority’s Office at 240 South Main Street, Freeport, New York.
Questions regarding the bid are due no later than 12:00 PM on Friday May 14, 2021, submitted electronically to John Perrotta at Nelson + Pope via email: jperrotta@nelsonpope.com.
Bids must be wholly filled out on the prepared Bid Forms furnished with the Contract Documents, and must be contained in a sealed opaque envelope plainly marked on the outside by the title of the project to which they are relating, the name of the Bidder and his residence or business address, the number of the Contract and the nature of the work as set forth in the Instruction to Bidders.
Bidder shall print out and complete: Bid Form (004113), Bid Sheet, Non-Collusive Bidding Certification, Representations, Certifications & Other Statements of Bidders, Public and Indian Housing Programs (HUD 5369-A), Supplemental Disclosure, and required qualifications indicated in the Instructions to Bidders and the Bid Form.Bids and material contained therein shall become property of the Freeport Housing Authority upon submittal. Regardless of outcome, firms or individuals shall not hold the Freeport Housing Authority responsible for any expense on cost or preparation of their IFB or in negotiation towards a contact.
The Freeport Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all Bids or to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids.
